Just a short update. This is the actual letter Dave sent me when Grubbmaster was going thru its hardships. This has to be one of the most professional letters I’ve ever received in the comic book community still to this day. I’ve modeled most of my practices in the biz after the guidance of Dave in his zine days.
The Wizard crew is heading out to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center to prepare for the biggest Wizard World Chicago in history! In case you haven’t heard yet, superstar actress Missy Peregrym of “Reaper” fame is going to be dropping in on Saturday to sign autographs, meet her fans and sit in on a Q&A panel. There’s also the reunion of six of the founders of Image Comics! Todd McFarlane, Whilce Portacio, Marc Silvestri, Rob Liefeld, Jim Valentino and Erik Larsen will get together to discuss the past, present and future of the innovative comics company. Guest of Honor Warren Ellis will discuss a variety of topics during his special Warren Ellis Unplugged late night event. And don’t forget the world premiere of “Batman: Gotham Knight” and accompanying panel with the creators on Saturday!
If all of that isn’t enough to wet your appetite, we also have comic talent like Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Ross, Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver, Mike Choi, David Finch, Peter David, Tony Daniel, Shane Davis, Adi Granov, Arthur Suydam, Gail Simone and Alex Maleev, Lucasfilms’ Steve Sansweet, wrestling superstars like Mick Foley, Virgil, the Iron Sheik and Christy Hemme, the original Incredible Hulk himself Lou Ferrigno, “American Gladiators” Venom and Phoenix, the creators of the Adult Swim series “Moral Orel,” novelist Max Brooks, and many many more!
